Ivan Kalburov

Ivan Kalburov joined the team of Dr. Kovatchev in 2010 and currently provides administrative support as well as advice on Foreign policy and Security issues.

Before 2010 Ivan has worked on various research projects for think tanks, including Freedom House Europe and the Centre for EU Enlargement Studies. His work has covered a wide range of EU affairs, foreign policy and security topics such as Energy security in Europe, European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP), Bulgarian participation in ESDP, Danish and Nordic Security, EU Enlargement.

Ivan was educated in European Studies in the Faculty of Philosophy of Sofia University. Later on he studied International Affairs in Central European University in Budapest and Political Science in Leiden Universiteit.

Ivan is an experienced blogger with academic and online media publications on Global Democracy and European Security.

Ivan speaks fluent English and Bulgarian. He has passive knowledge of French and German
